On 19 April, the YG Entertainment-powered label THEBLACKLABEL announced that they have launched a new Thailand-based company, THEBLACKSEA, in partnership with CP Group. Led by renowned Korean producer Teddy Park, the joint-venture company aims to discover and grow the next generation of talents in Southeast Asia.
"We have seen some incredible success and talent come from Southeast Asia, such as LISA from BLACKPINK, and we’re excited to have a strong partner such as CP Group to create a new beacon for aspiring creatives to showcase their talents. Our goal is to provide them with the necessary tools and support to succeed at a global level.” said Teddy Park, the Founder and Executive Producer of THEBLACKLABEL.

As THEBLACKSEA's first project, they are launching THEBLACKLABEL's Thailand audition for aspiring stars. The audition is open to anyone, aged 13 and above, based in Thailand, finalists will be get the opportunity to train under THEBLACKLABEL and debut with a group under the company.
Those interested can email their application to THEBLACKLABEL starting 18 April 2023.
THEBLACKLABEL is currently home to acts like TAEYANG of BIGBANG, Jeon Somi, LØREN, and Zion. T, as well as award-winning actor Park Bogum.
