K-pop’s rising “Boyhood Pop” stars TWS are stepping into a new era of confidence with the release of their 5th mini album NO TRAGEDY.
The project sees the sextet reframe romance on their own terms—ditching fate-driven narratives in favour of self-determined love stories. It’s a thematic and sonic shift that highlights their growing maturity, pairing youthful energy with more refined, sophisticated production.

At the heart of the record is lead single ‘You, You’, a bright, hook-driven track that captures the rush of falling hard and fast. Built around the playful repetition of “Dda-rum,” the song leans into clarity and emotional honesty, delivering a feel-good anthem that’s as infectious as it is heartfelt.
The accompanying music video expands on that narrative with a cinematic twist. Opening with the warning, “BEWARE THE STAR’S CURSE AGAINST LOVE,” the visual sets up a tense, almost fated storyline—only for TWS to flip the script. Instead of succumbing to destiny, the group reimagines themselves as “star-crushing lovers,” pushing forward to reclaim control over their story. From whimsical visuals like heart-shaped water streams to high-energy bicycle chases, the video balances suspense with playful chaos, culminating in a powerful moment where the looming “star” shatters into fragments.
Beyond its title track, NO TRAGEDY showcases TWS’ expanding musical palette across five additional songs:
- ‘All the Possibilities’ — a vibrant, house-inspired cut
- ‘Why You So Bad?’ — an all-English pop track
- ‘Get It Now’ — boom bap hip-hop with punk and rock elements
- ‘Fire Escape’ — uptempo dance-pop with hyperpop influences
- ‘Back To Strangers’ — a dreamy, slow-building closer
The release also marks a major milestone for the group. The album has already surpassed 1.16 million pre-orders as of 24 April, signalling TWS’ first million-seller achievement—a testament to their fast-growing global fanbase.
Adding to their momentum, TWS were recently named the only K-pop act on Rolling Stone’s Future 25 list, spotlighting artists shaping the sound of tomorrow. It’s recognition that reinforces what fans already know: TWS are not just riding the wave—they’re helping define it.
With NO TRAGEDY, TWS lean fully into their identity—youthful, bold, and unapologetically hopeful—proving that love stories don’t have to be written in the stars to shine.
