Unknown Radicals wild out in the heartlands in new music video 'GREEN' - watch

The story of the come-up always starts from one place: Home. On its new single 'GREEN', homegrown hip-hop group Unknown Radicals evokes hip-hop's rags-to-riches triumphalism with the dynamic, free-spirited splendour and vividly imagistic flow that have established the 11-strong group as one of the brightest propspects of Made in Singapore hip-hop. Now, the band has shared an accompanying music video.

Shot, directed and edited internally, the video, like the song, is a proud testament to the crew's staunchly DIY and underground ethos. Set entirely (emphatically) in the distinctly recognisable environs of an HDB heartland, the video features the various members of the group rapping and goofing off candidly for the camera. Though spontaneous and tongue-in-cheek, one thing is obvious when you consider the visuals alongside the song: You can't fake chemistry like this.

Here are some choice scenes from the video.
