Here's what to expect at the UP Fair 2023: Diliman, Los Banos, Baguio

The month of February has always come with a cause for celebration for the University of the Philippines: it's time for the annual UP Fair, happening from 14 to 18 February 2023.

We're sure that many—may they be iskos and iskas or not—are excited to see what this year has in store. Whether your campus is in the heart of the metro, down south of Luzon, or up north in the Cordilleras, the five-day celebration provides a platform not just for music artists but also for advocacies that they stand for.

Let's take a closer look at what to expect at the festivities happening in UP Diliman, UP Los Banos, and UP Baguio this year:

UP Fair: Kaisa Ka Sa Musika (UP Diliman)

UP Fair: Kaisa Ka Sa Musika takes pride in being an advocacy-led music festival. This year, each of the five-day feat puts a spotlight on a particular issue that needs our attention: Tuesday for human rights protection, Wednesday for the urban poor, Thursday for people-centric mass transportation, Friday for education and students' rights, and Saturday for gender emancipation.

BANDWAGON TV

UPLB February Fair: Bigkisan (UP Los Banos)

With Laguna being miles away from the metro, UP Los Banos get their own dose of music in February through the UPLB Feb Fair which—get this—even has their own official song.

They haven't revealed the full line-up for their five-day festivity, but we look forward to what Bigkisan has to offer.

UPDATE (13/02): The full line-up for the UPLB Feb Fair has been revealed! Catch Syd Hartha, Bayang Barrios, Ysanygo, and more at the five-day fair.

UPB Org Fair: Salakniban (UP Baguio)

Their celebration maybe smaller in scale compared to other campuses, but UP Baguio's call for safe spaces for their students is as big and loud as any advocacy being pushed out—and this is what UPB Org Fair: Salakniban is all about.

UPDATE (13/02): The UP Baguio Council of Leaders have revealed their lineup of their homegrown performers for Salakniban: Shadows, SET-UP (Sining, Eksena, at Tinig Sa Unibersidad ng Pilipinas), TABAK-Baguio (Tanghalang Bayan ng Kabataan sa Baguio), and more.
