Even as years go by, a good ol' movie date is still a classic. Whether you're making the trip down to the theatres or getting comfortable at home, nothing screams romance than watching a flick with your special someone. 

AT THE CINEMA

AT HOME

If you're keeping it lowkey this year but still equally as sweet, an at-home movie night might be up your alley. Besides watching classic romcoms on Netflix or Disney favourites on Disney+, Asian streaming services like iQiyi and Viu offer an array of titles that will surely like get your heart fluttering. 

You can buckle down for a weekend binge of romantic series like Still or Now, We Are Breaking Up on Viu or even stray away from the lovey-dovey holiday and tune in to the thriller-mystery show Bad and Crazy on iQiyi. 

Subscriptions for Viu are priced at SGD 7.98 for 30 days, while iQiyi memberships are priced at SGD 8.98/month and SGD 12.98/month.


ART

What better season than Valentine's to spend the day admiring art with a work of art?

MUSEUM DATES

The island's littered with exhibitions, galleries, and shows for you to view and peruse with your special someone.

If you're an animé fan, the ArtScience Museum is hosting an exhibition themed around the dark fantasy series Attack on Titan. The first of its kind in Southeast Asia, the exhibit will see over 180 artworks by the series' illustrator and writer Hajime Isayama and detail his artistry and storytelling over the last ten years.

Singapore Art Museum or SAM are also hosting an exhibition by local experimental band The Observatory. Titled REFUSE, the inter-media exhibit explores notions concerning music, mushrooms, and decomposition. It draws on the band's past and present influences while studying the idea of decomposition and composition from a biological and musical lens. 

Located at Tanjong Park Distripark, REFUSE will run until 17 April 2022. There are no prior bookings required. Admission tickets are free for all Singaporeans and Permanent Residents and are priced at SGD 10 for standard tickets.
