VERIVERY are back with their eighth mini album, CONFETTI.
Released on 7 September, the five-track EP arrives almost a year after the group’s single album Lost and Found. This time around, DONGHEON, GYEHYEON, YEONHO, YONGSEUNG, and KANGMIN embrace a more playful and relaxed side of VERIVERY, finding joy in the everyday moments that can become highlights of their own.
Inspired by the image of confetti bursting over the brightest moments of a festival, CONFETTI sees the group turning small pieces of everyday happiness into music.
“I hope this album can be a small source of happiness in your daily life,” GYEHYEON shared.
The record opens with 'Way to Zero', an electronic dance-pop number about trusting your instincts instead of searching for the perfect answer. It leads into title track 'Don’t Panic!', a bright funk-pop song encouraging listeners to enjoy the present amid the repetition of everyday life.
Also featured on the EP is 'DRAMA', a disco-pop fan song whose lyrics were written by all five members as they look towards continuing their story with VERRER.
CONFETTI also marks VERIVERY’s first unit activities. YONGSEUNG and KANGMIN team up as the Y2K unit for speed garage track 'Touch', while DONGHEON, YEONHO, and GYEHYEON form the DYG unit for the full-band-driven 'Eye Contact (눈 마주쳤지)'.
“This is an album we were more involved in creating than ever before, so we hope you’ll listen closely to the message VERIVERY wanted to share!” YONGSEUNG said.
Following the release of CONFETTI, the group are set to embark on their GIVE ME FIVE, KEEP THAT VIBE tour. The run kicks off in Seoul on 3 October before continuing across 10 additional stops in Asia and Europe.
