Vietnamese artists CHIVAN and MINH brought their music to SONIK Philippines 2026, joining a programme connecting artists and music professionals from across the region.
Held on 11 and 12 September at Green Sun in Makati, the two-day conference and showcase paired live performances with discussions on touring, music export, and building international careers.

The showcase opened with SID, with ONE CLICK STRAIGHT also taking the stage before The Itchyworms closed the first day with a crowd sing-along. Performances continued on the second day alongside conversations about opportunities for Filipino artists overseas.
For CHIVAN and MINH, the event offered a chance to introduce their music to Philippine listeners and meet fellow artists and industry professionals. Their appearances were supported by CisuMusiC, a platform that connects artists with festivals, showcases, livehouse tours, fan platforms, and media networks across different markets.

CisuMusiC’s network spans Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, and the United Kingdom, among other territories. Its participation in SONIK adds the Philippines to those connections, with plans to develop relationships beyond the showcase.
That exchange could also open doors for Filipino acts. CisuMusiC hopes to work with local artists, festivals, and music organisations to connect them with opportunities elsewhere in Asia and further afield.

For the platform, CHIVAN and MINH’s SONIK appearances mark a starting point for longer-term collaboration between the Vietnamese and Philippine music communities.
