While hip-hop in the US has been enjoying an incredibly dynamic decade so far, with some of the most outrageous and innovative artists to grace the Internet and arena stages simultaneously, hip-hop scenes around the world have been fast rising, and this globalisation has been, to put it simply, really exciting.
One such scene we've been keeping tabs on is the hip-hop scene in China, and while the country has had a rising number of indie rock and metal acts, hip-hop is now a genre that natives and expats based in the country have proudly waved the flag for.
Al Rocco is a name that is fast growing in popularity in the region, and when the rapper was in town for Keong Saik Carnival, we thought it would be apt for him to meet one of Singapore's most recognizable names in hip-hop, ShiGGa Shay, and naturally, a freestyle came about.
