Acoustic darling Clara Benin and singer-songwriter Dane Hipolito first met at Mint College, where the two took up Music Business Management. The pair have performed several duets together, covering John Mayer's "My Stupid Mouth" for Confessions: A Night of Secrets, Stories and Songs in 2016, Oh Wonder's "Livewire", and Drake's "Hold On, We're Going Home". 

The duo worked with Stronghold MNL Studios (previous works include Curtismith's "Lookin' Up" and Cheats' "Drunk") for the music video. Alternating between Dane's verses and rhymes and Clara's soothing voice, "Plastic Bag" is about a couple realizing the confinements they've made for themselves in their relationship.
