Jin of K-pop icons BTS has dropped his highly anticipated first solo EP Happy. Capturing a journey of happiness, this album is a true expression of Jin' contagious positive energy. Like a heartfelt gift, it offers listeners strength and comfort in their day-to-day lives.

The album includes a total of six tracks including main track 'Running Wild' and pre-release single 'I'll Be There'. Other tracks include 'Another Level', 'Falling', 'Heart on the Window (with WENDY)', and 'I will come to you'. While featuring a notable band sound with rich rock influences across the board, the diverse range of musical styles in the album accentuates Jin’s prowess as a widely versatile artist and vocalist. Jin participated in the overall production of the album, also writing the lyrics of the track dedicated to ARMY  on 'I will come to you'.

Through Happy, Jin brings together a wide range of global musicians. Gary Barlow of Take That, co-produced and co-wrote the main track 'Running Wild'. American singer-songwriter MAX contributed to the pre-release single “I’ll Be There,” while Taka and Toru from Japanese band ONE OK ROCK are credited on 'Falling'. 'Heart on the Window (with WENDY)' is Jin’s first duet track, showcasing a soft, intricate vocal rendition that demands to be kept on repeat.

Main track 'Running Wild' boasts a British new wave sound that features Jin’s soothing low tones followed by soaring falsettos in the hook, adding a dynamic layer to the track. With its positive, hopeful message about pushing forward—running until you're out of breath—the track captures the warmth and passion of love with Jin’s personality radiating through.

Released on HYBE LABELS’ YouTube channel, the music video for 'Running Wild' visualizes the theme of running breathlessly toward hope amid an impending apocalypse. It emphasizes finding joy in life’s small moments, where happiness and love shine through despite chaos. Jin calmly navigates his daily life with his beloved dog, illustrating that true happiness is being with loved ones, no matter the circumstances. The ending, capturing the simple joys of everyday life, reinforces the message Jin aims to convey.

Next up, the multifaceted global superstar perform 'Running Wild' on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on 20 November.
