Weezer to perform in Singapore for the first time

Alt-rock heroes Weezer, arguably one of the biggest rock bands from the US since the 90s, will be making their live debut in Singapore this year.

Despite having garnered rampant commercial and critical success in the 90s, dominating college radio stations and cassette decks with songs like 'Say It Ain't So', 'Buddy Holly', and 'Pink Triangle', the four-piece have somehow never made their way to Singapore, even as they performed a show in Indonesia a few years ago. The band is set to play on August 15th at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre. This will be Weezer's only Southeast Asian show on this tour.

The band is currently preparing the release of their newest self-titled album, due out on April 1st. Tickets will go on sale on Saturday, March 19th at 9am on SISTIC, with ticket prices at S$158 (standing and seated), S$138, S$118, S$108.
