WOLF HOWL HARMONY get candid about their fans, feelings & life's bittersweet moments

Estimated:  reading

For WOLF HOWL HARMONY, sweetness isn’t just about sugar — it’s about timing, memory, and the people who show up when it matters most. That balance sits at the heart of ‘Marmalade’, the group’s latest single, and it’s also what shaped their recent video interview with Bandwagon Asia.

Built around a playful “Sweet or Bitter” test, the conversation gradually reveals something deeper: how the four members — Ryoji, Hiroto, Ghee, and Suzuki — process vulnerability, fan love, and the quiet moments behind the stage lights.

Sweet gestures, big feelings

Asked about the sweetest thing a member has done recently, Ryoji doesn’t hesitate.

“During rehearsal, Hiroto gave me some dried sweet potatoes. It was super sweet and delicious, and I was really hungry, so it was really kind of him,” he shares, laughing.

It’s a small moment, but one that reflects the group’s close bond — something fans have come to recognise not just through performances, but through how they speak about each other.

That warmth extends beyond the group. For Suzuki, one fan interaction stands out the most.

“Recently, there was a time when I wasn’t feeling well, and I had to miss some work,” he recalls. “I felt really bad about it, but the fans told me, ‘Please put your health first.’ Their words — and everyone’s love — really warmed my heart.”

When things don’t go as planned

Even mistakes become memories in WOLF HOWL HARMONY’s world. During a live performance of ‘Frozen Butterfly’, Suzuki remembers drifting far from where he was supposed to be.

“We all had to gather in the center for the final chorus — but I was way off to the side all by myself,” he says. “So while striking the pose, I took this huge step — like twice as big as everyone else’s — to get to the middle.”

“Just like a butterfly,” Ryoji adds, earning laughter all around.

For Ghee, staying positive is key when things get tough. “If I let myself feel down, it just becomes a bad cycle,” he explains. “So I keep telling myself, It’ll work out somehow!”

Music that gives back

When fans share how their music helped them through difficult times, the group takes it seriously. Hiroto puts it simply:

“The letters and messages our fans always give us really encourage us. So we want to take the power we’ve received from all of you and give it back as even more love.”

That intention flows directly into ‘Marmalade’.

“Our song ‘Marmalade’ is a piece that portrays life,” Ryoji explains. “Even bittersweet memories or moments of frustration — given time — can eventually turn into sweet memories. The song expresses that kind of life journey.”

He adds, “Music has saved us too, so next, we want to create music that can add even a little color to your lives.”
