Woodstock Festival is coming to South Korea this July 2023

Woodstock Festival is coming to Asia.

In a press conference held earlier this month, event organisers SCG Entertainment announced that the music and art festival will be coming to South Korea this year, marking its first edition outside of the US. Centered on the theme of “freedom, peace and love", the festival is set to take place over three days from 28 to 30 July at the Hantangang River Geopark in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province.

More details are expected to be announced soon.

Woodstock Festival was first established in 1969 in the US and celebrated its anniversary with events in 1994, 1999, and 2009. The festival was set to hold its 50th-anniversary event in 2019 but was later cancelled to financial constraints.
