Indonesian indie rock band WUSS have dropped their newest single, ‘Where It Begins’ via Haum Entertainment — a powerful introduction to their upcoming full-length debut.
Formed in Malang, East Java, the four-piece — Sabiella Maris, Brilyan Pratama, Rara Harumi, and Rufa Hidayat — are channelling the unpredictability of life into their music. “Journey is a blind box, you never know...” they sing, setting the tone for a record that embraces uncertainty and growth.
“Each single will correlate, connecting with each other to form a complete album,” the band shares. With this single as its foundation, their new project is set to explore daily life’s emotional highs and lows — from failure to joy — through immersive indie-rock textures and melodic optimism.
‘Where It Begins’ also traces back to WUSS’ own origin story. Formed through casual jams and impromptu sessions, the band quickly found chemistry, culminating in their warmly received debut EP We Undercover Super Softie. Since then, they’ve crafted 13 tracks for their full-length release despite juggling packed schedules — a feat made possible through compromise, teamwork, and shared passion.
A tour is also on the horizon, with WUSS aiming to reach more cities and countries than their previous run. In addition, a new music video project is in the works, offering visuals for both fresh and familiar tracks.
