8 August marked a new milestone for XG, as the hip-hop/R&B-inspired girl group released their first-ever live album, XG 1st WORLD TOUR “The first HOWL” Live.
Captured during their electrifying finale at Tokyo Dome, the album immortalises the final night of their year-long, sold-out global tour. Drawing 50,000 fans, the performance was not only a triumphant homecoming but also a powerful statement of just how far XG has come — from viral sensations to stadium-fillers.
The 13-track album packs 18 songs from the night, including fan favourites ‘WOKE UP’, ‘SHOOTING STAR’, and ‘LEFT RIGHT’. Emotional showstoppers like ‘IN THE RAIN’ and ‘IS THIS LOVE’ — the latter of which spent 21 straight weeks on Billboard Japan’s Hot 100 — also shine, revealing XG’s softer, soul-baring side.
Earlier this year, the group hit another high by performing at Coachella, where they trended No. 2 worldwide on X and drew global acclaim. Next up? XG are set to headline Day 1 of a-nation 2025 on 30 August at Ajinomoto Stadium, Tokyo. If their live album is any indication, expect nothing short of a spectacle.
