xikers have released their eighth EP, ROUTE ZERO : The CALLING, alongside a music video for ‘DIENAMITE’.
Out digitally on 2 November, with a US physical release set for 6 November, the six-track EP marks the second chapter of the group’s new era. Following a mysterious calling, xikers venture into the unknown with their trust in one another to guide them.
The release follows their seventh EP, ROUTE ZERO : The ORA, which surpassed the first-week sales record of their previous release in just four days. With ROUTE ZERO : The CALLING, the group continue to explore what it means to forge their own path without predetermined answers.
Opening the EP, ‘DIENAMITE’ captures an uncontrollable desire building towards an explosive breaking point, as xikers step beyond the established order and send a bold warning to the world.
It is followed by ‘Go’, which reflects their determination to rise higher without being swayed by others’ opinions. ‘Mask off’ marks the moment they cast aside their masks without hesitation, turning the tables with a bold declaration.
‘One’ channels their drive to overcome every obstacle and reach an unparalleled peak, while ‘DUMB’ encourages listeners to let go of expectations, dance freely, and enjoy the present.
Closing track ‘Sanctuary’ brings the journey back to a sense of belonging. Finding a home in one another, the members discover that even an unfamiliar road can feel reassuring when travelled together.
Across ROUTE ZERO : The CALLING, xikers embrace uncertainty while holding on to the connection that keeps them grounded, wherever their next adventure leads.
