YOASOBI top Billboard's Global Excl. US music chart with 'Idol'

YOASOBI just topped Billboard's Global Excl. US music chart.

The Japanese duo made it atop the American music chart with their single 'Idol', as announced on 6 June. This comes as the first-ever original Japanese song to accomplish this feat.

'Idol'—which was released with both a Japanese and English version—comes as YOASOBI's latest single and serves as the opening theme song for the anime series, Oshi no Ko. Written by YOASOBI's Ayase, the track talks about the double life of a star in the Japanese idol industry.
