Before even making their official debut, Bi-ray 美麗—the girl group produced by YOSHIKI—made history with a powerful performance of the U.S. national anthem at Dodger Stadium on 28 April, during Japanese Heritage Night at the MLB game between the Dodgers and Marlins.
Amid a star-studded lineup featuring Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, the four members—Emi, Hinata, Cocomi, and Michelle—delivered soaring harmonies in a special arrangement by YOSHIKI, earning thunderous applause from the crowd.
“It felt like a dream,” the group shared. “YOSHIKI’s support gave us the strength to own the stage.”
Formed after Emi’s win on Kasyou 歌唱王, Bi-ray’s performance video for ‘Butterfly (Short Version)’ has already hit over 15 million views on YouTube. With a global debut coming soon, Bi-ray is quickly proving they’re one to watch.
