Your Dream Has Come True: L’Arc~en~Ciel 20th L’Anniversary World Tour

ESTIMATED
French name meaning 'rainbow', Japanese band who like to dress up... Any questions? Direct them to our contributor, Leandra Chee who is excited for their arrival. Here's your heads up, people!

If you’re not already bitten by the Japanese-craze bug, you may be unaware that Gackt and Hyde are the sexiest Jap rockers that ever walked Earth, and that a phenomenal starry quartet by the name of L’Arc~en~Ciel will be gracing our humble sunny shores and rocking up the Indoor Stadiumon 28th April at the holy concert hour of 8pm.

That’s right all you lovely Laruku fans, rejoice! The good people at Lushington Entertainments have answered your prayers and for the first time ever, L’Arc~en~Ciel will perform in Singapore as part of their 20th L’Anniversary World Tour, including countries like Hong Kong, Shanghai, New York, London, Paris and Seoul. All those teenage daydreams of Hyde (vocals and sexiest J-rocker), Ken (guitar), Tetsuya (bass) and Yukihiro (drums) – whether alone or in combination – are about to become a reality (umm, depending on which ticket you buy kind of reality).

For those of you who don’t know L’Arc~en~Ciel, no need to apologize. Laruku fans love to share. So for starters this four-man progressive rock band debuted in 1991 with a highly successful album, Dune, topping the Oricon indies chart in Japan. Tierra was released later that year. Taking a four-year hiatus, the band hit a platinum comeback with True, and they never looked back. Twenty years and counting, L’Arc~en~Ciel have released up to 12 studio albums, lent their talents to numerous anime theme songs, including Full Metal Alchemist and Gundam 00, and sold out many world tours. The band has also seen wild success in Europe and the States, selling the J-Rock name beyond their Nihon shores.
