YouTube has announced that its new music streaming app, YouTube Music, is coming to Singapore.

YouTube Music is a streaming app and web player with official songs, albums, thousands of playlists and artist radio in addition to YouTube's catalog of covers, live performances and music videos.

While YouTube Music, the ad-supported version, will be available for free, YouTube Music Premium is a paid membership starting at $9.98 a month. It offers an ad-free experience, offline downloads, and allows users to play songs and videos in the background while they toggle between apps.

YouTube Premium will be available from $11.98 a month, which will include YouTube Music Premium, and will offer an ad-free experience with background play and offline downloads for videos on YouTube.

Audio/Video switching is available with a tap of the button, allowing YouTube Music Premium and YouTube Premium users to seamlessly transit between a song and a music video. Thousands of playlists spanning moods, genres and languages will allow users to discover new music.

The YouTube Music app is available for download on the Google Play Store and iOS App Store. Users can enjoy special one-month free introductory offer for YouTube Music Premium.
