Biography

Formed in 2012, boxchild's members met in Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Song Composing Club. United by our love for performance, we set forth with the collective aim of connecting with the world through music. The name, boxchild, is a representation of our explorative tendencies and will to experience the world beyond our comfort zone. Starting out as a Pop Punk band, we eventually found our calling in the heavier side of music. Our sound is best described as riff-driven, heavy alternative rock with powerful melodic vocals and an in-your-face attitude. This however, is not set in stone as we are constantly expanding our sonic horizons. Every moment on stage is critical to us and it is our genuine goal to touch people's lives with our music. Our music is a tribute to every individual who has cared enough to step into our lives and we will continue to embrace anyone who comes our way.
