Biography

Dune Rats is a two-piece garage rock band hailing from Brisbane, Australia. Their first EP Sexy Beach gained considerable acclaim internationally and paved the way for their first national tour supporting Australian thrash pop duo DZ Deathrays in February 2011. With the release of their second EP Social Atoms in September 2011, they began amassing a strong following as their single ‘Pogo’ gained high rotation on Australia's national radio-station Triple J. They followed through their momentum with continuous touring throughout 2012, landing a spot on the Big Day Out Festival for their upbeat and reckless live shows, followed by national tours with acclaimed international bands The Drums, Best Coast, The Vines, Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, and Cults.
