Biography

Instigator Afrobeat Orchestra is a Dub Skank'in Hifi houseband consisting of 9 members influenced by the music of Afrobeat, Afrosoul, Funk, Reggae & Ska. Due to the ever growing need to create and feature live music to our ever growing audience. DSH Soundsystem decided the time has come to form a houseband dedicated to playing the music that inspires them. The houseband consists of experienced players from other notable local bands such as Bloco Novo, Lupa & the Allstars, Thomson Jazz, Full Pledge Munkees, Rhythm De Pasion and features a blistering horn section, 2 percussionists and a tight rhythm section playing foot stomping Afrobeat & Ska... that will keep you skankin' & stompin' all the way home.
