Biography

Monita Angelica Maharani Tahalea aka Monita and Momon (born July 21 1987 in Jakarta, Indonesia) is an Indonesian singer who rose to popularity after placing fourth in Indonesian Idol 2, the Indonesian version of Pop Idol, shown by RCTI. In early 2010, Indra Lesmana introduced Monita Tahalea in her first debut solo album called Dream, Hope and Faith. The album contains of 8 songs arranged and directed by Indra Lesmana that present pop contemporary music with jazz feel in minimalist packaging. The highlight of her performance can be found on single " Ingatlah " that was written by couple Indra & Hanny Lesmana, and also from two jazz standards " Over The Rainbow " and " God Bless The Child " that she performed with Indonesian legendary guitarist Oele Patisellano.
