Biography

Michaela is a soul vocalist, pianist, songwriter, producer and teacher. "I don't feel the need to be boxed into a genre," Michaela says of her style. "I am heavily influenced by jazz, sure, but I am also in love with rock music and drum 'n' bass and hiphop. I've always had a naturally soulful and bluesy vibe so because of that, no matter what music I make, I consider it soul, above all." but she emphasises that her "lyrics and poetry are what truly give weight" to her work, and that she is "grateful to the power of music for supporting the statements" she feels she needs to make.
