One of the most successful groups of the boyband era, Blue were described by the Guardian as “that band only one of which is born into each generation”. 

Blue originally formed in 2000, after a 15-year-old Lee Ryan and 17-year-old Antony Costa met on ITV’s This Morning, during an audition for Simon Cowell’s boyband. After striking up a friendship, the boys came together a year later, along with Antony’s pal Duncan. Simon – who was Lee’s flatmate at the time – later joined the group. 

The foursome going on to achieve major success with their smooth harmonies and seductive lyrics, releasing three studio albums – All Rise, One Love, and Guilty – which all peaked at number one. Blue had an amazing 11 Top 10 singles, including 3 #1s, two Brit Awards and sold over 16 million records in 4 years!

One of the most popular British bands in the 2000s, Blue was the choice of collaborations with legends like Tom Jones, Stevie Wonder, Elton John and even Chinese pop star Elva Hsiao.
