Clarice Handoko and Joel Chua were introduced to one another in the 2010 Bright Young Things Programme. Since then, they have continued performing together in various contexts including Charity Functions and weddings.
In a one-night-only showcase, Clarice and Joel aim to showcase their abilities through the intimate setting of a piano and vocal duo. In spite of a strong jazz influence in their styles, both musicians are set to surprise and excite with a more experimental yet melodic approach and will be performing more contemporary numbers alongside jazz standards.
Listen out for wide-reaching influences from Sassy to Badu, from Erroll Garner to Mehldau and be embraced by the heartfelt music produced by two upcoming local musicians.
