Drawing from the music of jazz legends Eric Dolphy and Charles Mingus, the Midnight Organ Trio revives obscure and seldom-performed tunes from the post-bop era. They begin each set with jazz standards, and proceed to depart from the bebop era. Featuring Lester Ang on saxophone flute and clarinet, Oliver von Essen on organ and Rafaee Mahmood on drums, the trio brings you on a spirited musical journey, combining the harmonic and rhythmic complexity of post-bop hits such as Epistrophy and Haitian Fight Song.
