Dwi Warna

Dwi Warna, or “two colours”, is a gamelan ensemble that not only honours tradition and roots, but also strives to make traditional music hip and current. The ensemble is inspired by music from the Malay Archipelago, rock, metal and even samba. The musicians come from various backgrounds and share the common love for traditional gamelan music. Together, they hope to add wanna (colours) to modern gamelan music.
