Esplanade Presents: Red Dot August - General Lee

General Lee is a Singapore-based rock-and-roll band, a throwback to the sounds of the riproaring counterculture era. Inspired by archaic, raw and vamp-driven music, their songwriting draws on historical events and local folklore to shine a light on their home country. Harddriving bass lines and authoritative drumming provide the backdrop for swaggering vocals and raucous guitar, covering the musical ground from slashing slide riffs and swampy blues to greasy funk and rockabilly train beats.
