Fauré: Cantique et Requiem

One of the foremost choral conductors today, Stephen Layton brings you an evocative lineup of two ethereal classics by Fauré. They surround a brief but poignant pairing of Britten’s playful Simple Symphony and Estonian composer Arvo Pärt’s threnody of sorrow for the English composer. A fascinating programme of inspiration, hope, respite and consolation.
