The Gareth Fernandez EP launch will feature a 10-piece band including a horn section and backup singers, and is slated to be an immersive audio-visual experience.
Gareth Fernandez’s debut EP was partially funded by the National Arts Council (NAC) and produced by veteran music arranger-composer Bang Wenfu, recorded and mixed by Geoffrey (Glow) Low and Reuben “Top” Raman and mastered by Trevor Sadler of Mastermind Productions, USA. The EP includes 4 originals by Gareth Fernandez:
- debut single, “Subliminal Love”, which peaked at #7 on the local iTunes charts;
- upcoming single “Physical” on unrequited love;
- “Movin’ On” from bad relationships; and
- chasing those “Northern Lights” by wanting what you can’t have.
Kevin Ho of JUICE Magazine describes Gareth Fernandez as “possessing a voice as sharp as his suits” while NYLON Singapore says that he and his band have been “making more waves in the local music scene”.
With past appearances in Mosaic Music Festival, Music Matters Live 2014, Bandwagon: The Music Market and the Gentle Bones EP Launch under their belts, Gareth Fernandez and his band look forward to the culmination of months of recording, filming, writing and performing in this musical extravaganza.
