British Pop Icon Johnny Hates Jazz is celebrating their phenomenal 30th Anniversary with a special tour in the UK… and Guess What? They will be bringing the intimate show to Singapore on 14th April 2018 at The MES Theatre!
This will be a unique experience in which Johnny Hates Jazz will perform the Multi-Platinum Best-Selling debut album “Turn Back the Clock” in its entirety! Also expect to hear stories and memories behind the album and songs that launched them to global stardom!
The album “Turn Back the Clock” became one of the music milestones of the 80s, hit multi-platinum, and sold more than 4 million copies. It is arguably one of the definitive albums of the 80s, and is one of only two debut albums released by Virgin Records that debut at #1 upon its release.
It includes the unforgettable single “Shattered Dreams” that catapulted the band to success when it reached Top 5 worldwide, reaching #2 in the US and #5 in the UK.
“Shattered Dreams” was followed by other big hits, including the anti-war anthem “I Don’t Want to Be A Hero”, “Turn Back The Clock” (featuring Kim Wilde), “Heart Of Gold” and “Don’t Say It’s Love”. The album track “Different Seasons” was a big fan favourite, and became a smash with fans everywhere, despite it not released as an official single. Other songs on the album like “What Other Reason”, “Listen” and “Foolish Heart” also resonated strongly with fans of the album.
