Kousuke Atari – The most soothing voice on Earth

Hailing from Amami Oshima of Kagoshima Prefecture, they represent the Shima-uta genre of folk music.

Chitose Hajime was the youngest recipient at the Amami Folk Music Awards. She has been very active in her singing activities centred on her hometown and is one singer that can truly represent Japan. Meanwhile, Kousuke Atari also received the Best Newcomer award at the Amami Folk Music Award, and has been performing, not just in Japan, but across Greater China and Asia.
