Mosaic Music Series Sinne Eeg and the Jacob Christoffersen Trio (Denmark)

Considered to be the preeminent jazz vocalist in Scandinavia, Sinne Eeg’s distinctive vocals and original compositions have earned her a loyal and rapidly growing fan base in her native Denmark and around the world. She has made her mark in Japan, China and throughout Europe with her exquisite live performances and award-winning studio recordings.

Eeg has received numerous awards including the DR P2 Jazz Prize and four Danish Music Awards for Best Vocal Jazz Album for her albums Waiting for Dawn (2007), Don’t Be So Blue (2010), Face the Music (2014) and Eeg – Fonnesbæk (2015). In 2014, she was awarded the prestigious Ben Webster Prize and in 2015, 60 French critics awarded her one of Europe’s most distinguished awards, the Académie du jazz, for Face the Music.
Eeg was born into a musical family in the Danish countryside and began playing music at the young age of four. At 16, she decided to pursue a career in music and attended a music preparatory school and continued her advanced studies at the highly competitive Danish Music Conservatory. The six years of rigorous training gave Eeg a deep understanding of music, harmonically and rhythmically, which is evident in her stellar performances today.

This will be Eeg’s first performance in Singapore, and she will be accompanied by a piano trio.
