Odilon is a contemporary jazz group formed by composer-pianist Tze, inspired by the music of Keith Jarrett's European quartet and the Esbjörn Svensson Trio. The name of the group is derived from that of French symbolist painter Odilon Redon, and the music is a blend of modern bebop, funky grooves, collective free improvisations; a rich sonic tapestry of diverse layers.
Odilon is Tze Toh (keyboards), Teo Boon Chye (saxophone), Wendy Phua (bass), Masato Miyata (acoustic bass) and Jason Cruz (drums).
