LAMC Productions is proud to announce that Passenger will perform LIVE in Singapore for the very FIRST time on 13 January 2017 at The Star Theatre!
Standard Tickets: (Excluding Booking fees)
Passenger is best known for the phenomenal worldwide hit "Let Her Go," from the album, "All The Little Lights", which has captured the imagination of the listening public all over the globe, hitting #1 in over 20 charts worldwide. The accompanying video just joined YouTube's elite The Billion View Club, only the 23rd music video to do so. Passenger will be bringing his brand of reflective and relatable pop indie-folk music in what promises to be an intimate and memorable concert.
Rosenberg co-founded Passenger as a five-piece band in 2003 before releasing their only album in 2007 and breaking up in 2009. With the dissolution of the band, Rosenberg decided to stick to the name and perform as a solo act, even resorting to busking on street corners to make ends meet. He moved to Australia in 2009 where he started getting his stride back, packing 500-seater shows and releasing his first album as a solo act "Wide Eyes Blind Love". He made his biggest breakthrough when he released his third album "All the Little Lights" in 2012. Passenger toured with the likes of Jools Holland and Ed Sheeran and before he knew it, "Let Her Go" was being used in various movies and TV shows. He has since released two critically-acclaimed albums, Whispers (2014) and Whispers II (2015).
"Ultimately, with 'Whispers', Rosenberg has crafted an album of sweet, hummable anthems for tender-hearted troubadours everywhere." - Matt Collar, AllMusic
Other hits from Passenger include "Somebody's Love," (from his latest album "Young as the Morning, Old as the Sea"), "Heart's on Fire" and "The Wrong Direction".
"Young As The Morning, Old As The Sea" sees Passenger, once again co-produce alongside Chris Vallejo (INXS, Empire of the Sun), this time at Neil Finn's Roundhead Studios in Auckland, as well as Linear studios in Sydney. The epic landscapes in both New Zealand and on a recent trip Mike took to Iceland lent inspiration to create a newly panoramic album, with themes of relationships and the passing of time that are at once personal and universal. The album was written alongside an incredible band of musicians Ben Edgar (guitar), Rob Calder (bass), Peter Marin (drums) Jon Solo (keys).
When asked by website Radio.com about the phenomenal success of his biggest hit in 2014, Rosenberg only had this to say, "I come from very humble beginnings and to have a video and a song that's gotten this big, I don't know how to put it into words anymore. I've tried for the last year and it's just baffling to me. Baffling and bewildering and brilliant. I'm very lucky that everything clicked into place."
