Swara Sahavaad – Conversations through music

Featuring U Shrinivas, Rakesh Chaurasia with Faisal Qureshi on tabla and Swaminathan on mridangam. In a rare musical exchange between the mandolin and bansuri, prepare to be captivated by two critically acclaimed exponents who represent the next generation of Indian classical musicians. U. Shrinivas, credited for introducing the sound of the mandolin to the world of Indian classical music, and Rakesh Chaurasia, nephew and disciple of bansuri luminary Hariprasad Chaurasia, come together in a confluence of carnatic and hindustani music styles mustered by stirring improvisations and pulsating rhythms. The duo will be accompanied by Faisal Qureshi on tabla and Swaminathan on mridangam. Expect a sterling performance by the two virtuosos in this unusual pairing of strings and wind.
