SYNDICATE x RBMA Takeover Ft. Roska (UK), SAUCE81 (JPN)

RSVP for complimentary entry and a "battery pack" before 12.30AM : http://bit.ly/kyo_sept2014_wk4 Come 27 Sept 2014, audiovisual label Syndicate invades Club Kyo to play host to a stellar line-up of international and local talents with a Red Bull Music Academy (RBMA) Takeover. The night will present a double headlining bill featuring UK funky messenger, Roska, and an RBMA alumnus from Tokyo, Sauce81. Even among his contemporaries, Roska stands out as a unique proposition. His music – an explosive cocktail of swung house percussion, blocky melodies and body-battering sub-bass – is immediate distinctive, marked out both by his own production hallmarks and the cheeky ‘Roska!’ vocal motif that peppers his tracks. He’s never far far from the darkened club spaces where he made his name, thoug, regularly playing incendiary sets in packed basements around the UK – and always maintaining the immediacy and physical impact that’s defined his music from the very start. Sauce81 aka N'gaho Ta'quia is a producer based in Tokyo known for his style of raw beats, warm and ruff synth, rugged instrumentation and smooth vocals, he gives deep soul and funkness to his machine grooves. He joined Red Bull Music Academy 2008 Barcelona, and has performed at some of Japan’s top electronic music festivals such as Metamorphose and Sonar Sound Tokyo. He is also known for his quality remixes that he has done for TOKiMONSTA, LOGIC SYSTEM, Sweatson Klank, Ovall, and especially Julien Dyne ‘Who Are You feat. Ladi6 & Parks’ (sauce81 remix) was acclaimed as one of the best remixes of 2012. His music has been supported by worlds influentials like, DJ Nature, DJ Spinna, Gilles Peterso n, Nick The Record, Onra, Tim Sweeney etc. This Roska and Sauce81 feature in Singapore will be supported by the artists from the Syndicate stable. The baton to pilot the aural journey for the night will be passed through the label’s artistes : Kiat, Cherry Chan, and Gema. Joining the line up and repping the Kyo’s underground sound will be Norman C. http://syndicate.sg/ http://soundcloud.com/syndicatesg Public Admission $20 for ladies, $25 for men (incl. 1 drink)
