The Bronx ft. DJ Cash Money (US)

Proudly born and raised in the musical hotbed that is Philadelphia, DJ Cash Money (who is known to his mother as Jerome Hewlett) is a world-renowned turntablist, hip-hop artist and record producer who has been active since the late 80s. He impressed the world early on with his remarkable turntable skills and is credited with inventing and perfecting several scratch forms, including the famous transformer scratch that mimics the robotic sound effects from the cartoon series of the same name. A close friend and rival to hip hop legend DJ Jazzy Jeff, the pair spent their rise to fame DJing at parties together as “Kings of Spin”. Cash is also credited with creating the Pee Wee Herman scratch and establishing the Chirp scratch, but is also a producer of worldwide repute. He has released a number of albums in his time, but has also produced and remixed tracks for eminent artists such as Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes and Public Enemy. There is no doubting that his greatest achievement came in 1998 when the famous turntable manufacturer Technics decided that the first ever person to be inducted into the DJ Hall of Fame should be Cash Money. Should you be looking for a DJ that will not only serve up some killer sounds, but will also provide plenty of spectacular visual fun, there really is no one better for the job than the legendary DJ Cash Money.
