The New Breed: Acoustics

Singapore has always been the cultural melting pot of Southeast Asia, and a lot of our local music is representative of the diverse colours and textures available all around the world. The New Breed is a new series of performance brought forward to give a non-mainstream highlight of what Singapore can offer. This Friday, we have three acts with unique angles with their acoustic music spreading the love for these colours and textures with their selected style of expression. First up we have Gypsyfication, the first local authentic gypsy jazz group with a twist of fun and experimentation to bring the optimism of this music to this sunny island. Afterwards we have Hell Low, the eccentric melancholic acoustic music that seems to have the essence of some dark metal in this really almost-placcid sounding colour. Lastly we have the hopeful youthful stillsunrisemusic bringing their own form of folk-acoustic-pop music, originals and covers alike, with their very hopeful yet slightly jaded angle. Sounds like a night you'll enjoy? Come on down to SingJazz Club, a birthplace for unique sounds and textures to represent this little Red Dot and see where we can go with this!
