We are excited to announce the 2nd edition of our TROPOS series featuring Yong Belar from Malaysia and our local acts Cut Out Heroes and Radiant Archery on the 9th of April 2016. Held at The Analog Factory, tickets will only be available at the door. YONG BELAR Yong Belar (formerly known as 'fu') is an experimental rock band from Shah Alam, Malaysia. They started as 2 piece ambient/postrock/experimental loop band in late 2013 by Adrie (guitar) and Fakhri (drum). They released a 4 track demo in early 2014. April 2015 saw the introduction of Azhar (guitar) and Arwith (bass) and the band changed their name to Yong Belar and subsequently their style of genre too. They have just released 5 track EP titled "Menular" in January 2016 by Silent Project. CUT OUT HEROES From random chord strums while waiting for other members set up during band practice to random interlude sessions in between songs, COH pieces have always been inspired by creative freedom. Influenced by different genres of music, each COH member offer something different to the mix but somehow, they are able to find a middle ground as they create spontaneous melodic tunes. Never really knowing about ‘Post-Rock’ or the genre when they started, the band never had any intention of being ‘Post-Rock’ or even be categorized in any genre. What was clear though was that the band loved writing instrumentals while trying to create different moods as the song progressed. Members: Jas [Bass] Khai & Rasis [Guitars] Luq [Drums] RADIANT ARCHERY Radiant Archery started as a five-piece band in 2007. Along the way, their vocalist left and after a long hiatus, the band embarked on a heavier sound playing instrumental metal. They plays a style of post metal that is all instrumental but also manages to capture the perfect balance between heaviness and melody and the production on all of the songs also sounds very professional. They did a comeback with a four-song EP for free download, and their first full-length Salvation which was released in tapes by Epidemic Distro.
