TUFF CLUB x GOOD TIMES

We like having a good time (don’t you?), and so we’re teaming up with the Good Times crew — who has just celebrated their 10th anniversary earlier this year — to bring you a storied deejay and one of the most important, and undisputed tastemakers of our generation, LEFTO, as well as two of our own homegrown talents GEMA and Intriguant

LEFTO (Brussels, WorldwideFM)
www.mixcloud.com/leftooo
Fact Magazine calls him “your favourite DJ’s favourite DJ” but he’s proven time after time to be one of the most important tastemakers, who consistently stays ahead of your average early adopters. Devoted to the future of music, yet keeping an ear in the past, Lefto’s background is firmly rooted in jazz and rap music, and he sharpened his sensibility during the time he worked at the local record store in Brussels. Best known for his gloriously eclectic sets, expect the unexpected as he switches effortlessly between genres.

GEMA (Order / Syndicate SG)

Producer and founder of left field label Order Records, GEMA now spends his time split between Singapore and Indonesia. He remains one of Asia’s most exciting producers, with The Guardian describing his music as “a sprawling canvas of sounds, textures, layers, beats and samples that come together to form a cohesive theme of soulful disturbia.”, and the South China Morning Post touting GEMA as “the James Blake of Singapore”. Don’t miss his appearance as he brings his fearless genre-bending style that cuts between rave, techno, footwork and UK bass to TUFF CLUB.

Intriguant (Syndicate SG)
https://soundcloud.com/intriguant
A Singapore-based electronic music producer and DJ, Intriguant draws inspiration from the human perception of environments, and feature textural sounds recorded through the years against syncopated beats. His debut full-length album “Recluse”, released in 2017 under the Singapore-based label Syndicate, was met with acclaim from a global audience (ranging from USA, UK, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and Manila). Featuring other artists from Singapore, the album explores the notion of loneliness and self-discovery. He has shared the stage with luminaries such as Thomas Schumacher (GER), Teebs, Flying Lotus (Brainfeeder, USA), Homeboy Sandman, Samiyam (Stones Throw Records, USA) and Daddy Kev, D-Styles (Low End Theory LA, USA). He has also performed at music festivals including St. Jerome Laneway Festival and SingJazz Festival.
