Who were the first pop-punk band? Neck Deep? The Starting Line? The Story So Far? New Found Glory? Blink-182? Green Day? The Descendents? Screeching Weasel? The Queers? The Ramones? The Buzzcocks?

We have no fucking idea these days. What used to be pop-punk to us isn't pop-punk anymore, and what sounds like popcore+edm synth is pop punk. It don't matter. Cos WE'RE NOT EVEN POP-PUNK. And neither are YOU. Fuck dat shit.

In celebration of pop-punk, the genre that got us all into music when we were adolescents (some of us are still adolescents, us included) - here's a show celebrating some of the finest high-quality "not even pop-punk" bands today.

We have 3 touring acts - Hot New Camp from Indonesia, The Shapers from France and My Gosh from Indonesia, as well AND
local support from your faves Attention! The New Portsdown, Circle Line Kid, After Minutes, Keisey and yours truly, Take-Off.

It's gonna be a fun-filled day of hating your town and where you come from, of hating mom & dad but still living in their basement, of overstating how important your friends are to you and most of all, of being a socially and sexually awkward human being AND BEING OKAY WITH IT.

Much love - see you round our way on the 8th of July at Decline for some pop-punk goodness.

We're not even pop-punk.

Defend pop-punk.

Long live pop punk.
