'Where No One Is': EP Launch

Set for release on June 19, 'Where No One Is' is borne after five years of accumulating unspoken murmurs that contemplation and prose could neither contain nor reconcile. Depicting a nomad's journey, this EP is an allegory of life and the much more that it can be. Daphne used to sing in an folk-experimental choir in Singapore and was the first runner-up for Singapore Writers Festival's Poetry of Song in 2011. Expect to hear Daphne's warm and wistful voice and a collection of melodies set against soundscapes and organic noises that the city dweller will find familiar. 'Where No One Is' is arranged and produced by Loong ('Finding My Sound'), who also plays the keys on the EP, and Andy Sng ('Clouds & Shadows'). It also features Ivelina Dusheva-Martial on cello in 'Chase', as well as Michael Scherchen on bass and Joel Slagtand on drums in the title track 'Where No One Is'. On June 19, Daphne will return to Artistry, where she first played at its Originals Sing collective in 2013, to play songs off the EP with her friends. The show will start promptly at 8pm and feature The MadHatters Project as the opening act. Free entry.
