American metalcore band Born of Osiris cancels Singapore gig due to immigration issues

Immigration woes seem to be a recurring issue with bands coming to the region. As many will recall, British band TTNG and American multi-instrumentalist Mylets were detained in Hong Kong for a day due to immigration issues.

Earlier this year, we stoked to announce that metalcore five-piece Born of Osiris were set to play a show in Singapore on the 15 June.

Unfortunately, promoters Street Noise SG announced recently that "‘due to band label administration and passport related matters on the band's side, two of the band members (bassist David DaRocha and drummer Cameron Losch) will not be able to make it to Singapore in time for the show’.

Not everything is sad and gloomy about this news, however.

While the show will not go on, the remaining members of part of the band will still be coming to Singapore for a Meet & Greet session, which is open to the public.

We’re all gutted that the progressive metalcore outfit will not be adding to the magnificent repertoire of metal bands playing on our island this year – but this Meet & Greet is a welcome gesture that will help console fans.
