Brooklyn experimental electronic soul duo Young Magic headlines Kilo Lounge's official re-opening

As many of you may have heard, Kilo Lounge is back at a new location in Tanjong Pagar!

And while the joint isn't "officially" open yet, the Kilo Lounge crew have been running soft launch events at their new space over the last couple of weekends, even as they work hard on renovating the place during the weekdays.

But if you ask us, the Tanjong Pagar digs already looks (and sounds) great, if their last few shows with Baikal, The Drifter, Kim Ann Foxman (read our interview with her here), Rawjak and Kindred are anything to go by. So we can only imagine how amazing the venue will be once they've worked out the minor kinks.

And thankfully, we don't even have to wonder much longer because Kilo Lounge will hosting their official housewarming shindig this weekend! While they've curated a couple classy local nights (namely Doomph! and Re:fuge) to christen the reopening parties - they've also invited a very special guest to headline the proceedings.

This coming Saturday, 17th December, Brooklyn, New York duo Young Magic will be playing their first ever live show in Singapore, and it promises to be a debut to remember. Made up of Jakarta-born Indonesian-American vocalist Melati Malay and Sydney-born songwriter-producer Isaac Emmanuel, the pair's enchanting sound ranges from experimental soul and electronic pop to alternative hip-hop and krautrock.

The event is set to take place at 9pm, at Kilo Lounge's new address of 21 Tanjong Pagar Road #01-02/04. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here.
