BTS returned to Busan in triumphant fashion this weekend, transforming the Busan Asiad Main Stadium into a sea of purple as approximately 110,000 fans gathered across 12 and 13 June for BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' IN BUSAN.

The two-night homecoming carried special significance. Not only did it mark the group's return to Busan for the first time since 2022's Yet to Come in BUSAN, it also brought them back to the venue where they last performed together before military enlistment. The second night coincided with BTS' debut anniversary, making the celebrations feel even more personal for both the group and ARMY.

From the opening moments, the atmosphere felt less like a tour stop and more like a reunion. Fans who had travelled from around the world filled the stadium with deafening singalongs, while BTS delivered a set packed with fan favourites, surprises, and emotional milestones.

One of the night's defining moments came with the world premiere of 'NORMAL (Korean Ver.)'. Originally featured on the group's latest album ARIRANG, the Korean-language rendition added another layer of intimacy to an already sentimental occasion. Exploring the space between life in the spotlight and everyday experiences, the performance resonated strongly with the hometown crowd.

BTS also kept fans on their toes with surprise song selections across both nights. Day one saw the group lean into city pride with performances of 'Paldogangsan' and 'Ma City', while the second night delighted longtime fans with 'Ddaeng', 'Dimple', and an unexpected performance of 'Magic Shop'. Each addition was met with stadium-shaking cheers from ARMY.

The surprises continued during the encore, where BTS performed 'One More Night' live for the very first time. Paired with large-scale water effects that soaked the stage in dramatic fashion, the performance provided a euphoric finale to the celebrations.

Beyond the music, the group's appreciation for fans was evident throughout the weekend. Every attendee received a special gift accompanied by handwritten messages from the members, adding a personal touch to a gathering already defined by gratitude and nostalgia.

The festivities extended far beyond the stadium through BTS THE CITY ARIRANG - BUSAN, a citywide programme that transformed Busan into a month-long BTS destination. From themed installations and beach activations to drone shows and fan experiences, the city itself became part of the celebration.

As BTS continue their record-breaking ARIRANG world tour, their return to Busan served as a reminder of how far they've come — and how powerful it can be when one of the world's biggest acts returns to where it all began.
