Your mind and heart power through the exhaustion and you're back jumping and dancing as your favourite artist takes the stage. While they take centre stage, the magic truly begins a little further back as the band creates the foundation for what's about to be a great night. And, that's the very case for j-hope's historic headlining performance at Lollapalooza 2022

j-hope of BTS makes phenomenal Lollapalooza debut, here's what went down at his historic HOBIPALOOZA performance

Bringing the BTS member's vision of HOBIPALOOZA ablaze (quite literally) are none other than the talented music director and bassist Asaf Rodeh, assisted by Jonathan Linav, who were joined by Clemons Poindexter IV on drums, Carrice Whitley on keys, and Jackson Shepard on guitars. 

Together, the band had the crowd's heart rates up as the 'MORE' hitmaker gave the performance of his life. Get to know the members of j-hope's HOBIPALOOZA band here.

BANDWAGON TV

Band leader and producer Asaf Rodeh is the main genius behind the magic that underlies j-hope's incredible 'HOBIPALOOZA' live band arrangements. The acclaimed musician, who is highly praised for his musical versatility, works under Direction Music Group as a music director and boasts an impressive career that spans close to two decades. Since 2007, Rodeh has also worked with the likes of Lil Nas X, Zayn, Ariana Grande, Charlie Puth, Little Mix, and more.

Snappy beats and groovy rhythms, Clemons Poindexter IV is an absolute beast on the drums, responsible for adding that extra fire to j-hope's sharp verses and booming vocals. Influenced by the likes of Vinnie Colaiuta and Calvin Rodgers, the talented musician has been drumming professionally since 2007 and has worked with the likes of Khalid, 24KGoldn, and Marvin Sapp.

Carrice Whitley is no stranger to a grand stage. Armed with his trusty keyboard, the arranger and musician has previously performed with some of music's biggest stars including TLC, Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Latto, Keyshia Cole, and more.

Shredding up an absolute storm on stage is none other than Jackson Shepard. The multi-instrumentalist, who is also a singer-songwriter and producer, completes the massive impact of HOBIPALOOZA with wicked riffs and electric flares. Shepard also leads the Chicago-based music project Human Bloom

Joining Asaf Rodeh in heading the arrangement for HOBIPALOOZA is Jonathan Linav, who is also part of Direction Music Group. Together with Rodeh and the Direction Music Group team, the producer and multi-instrumentalist brought j-hope's vision for his festival debut to life and helped create a performance that would go down in history.
