BTS' Jungkook to make solo debut with digital single, 'Seven'

BTS' Jungkook is gearing up for his much-awaited solo debut.

The pop superstar will be releasing his first official solo single on 14 July, 1 PM KST. Titled 'Seven,' the track is said to be a "summer song" showcasing the "full breadth of Jungkook's charm". The new song will also feature American rapper, Latto.

'Seven' will be available on streaming services, digital, and physical CD. Pre-save it here.

PROMOTION SCHEDULE

Ahead of the single drop, 'Still With You' and 'My You' will be available officially on streaming platforms. Concept photos and behind-the-scenes footage are scheduled to be released on 6 and 7 July respectively, with the performance video set to premiere on 15 July.

Throughout the week, promotional posters featuring concept photos for Jungkook's SEVEN were seen in different cities across the globe.


'Seven' Recording Film 

The 'Seven' Recording Film, featuring behind-the-scenes footage of Jungkook working on the new track, is set to premiere on 26 July, 12 AM KST.

Music Video

The official music video, which stars Korean actress Han Sohee, is slated for release on 14 July.

Merch

Jungkook will also be dropping a 'Seven' merch line featuring a keyring, t-shirt, and an acrylic stand calendar. Items will be available starting 14 July, 2 PM KST via the Weverse Shop.


Jungkook himself took to Weverse Live to share more news about his solo efforts, including confirming that he's working on his first-ever solo album, as well as how much fun it was to shoot the music video for his forthcoming release.

While this is Jungkook's first official solo offering, the golden maknae has previously released 'Left and Right,' a collaboration with Charlie Puth, and FIFA Soundtrack, 'Dreamers'.

Jungkook is the latest member of the award-winning septet to officially start his solo musical journey, following j-hope with Jack In The Box, Jin with 'The Astronaut,' RM with Indigo, Jimin with FACE, and SUGA with Agust D's D-DAY. 

As part of BTS' 10th-anniversary festivities, the group released 'Take Two' as a seven-piece, and commemorated a decade with ARMY at their annual FESTA celebrations.
